Anything outside that we will either sub-contract openly or decline, rather than accepting the order and discovering the limit halfway through. Material is bought against your specification and the heat numbers are carried through to the finished part. If you need a grade we do not stock, tell us early — that lead time sits with the mill, not with us.

Yes, and a dimensioned drawing is what we would rather quote from. Send the GA and the shop drawings in whatever format you hold them, including DXF for profiled parts, and we will come back with any queries in one list rather than in a dozen calls. Where a detail is difficult to fabricate or impossible to inspect we will propose an alternative and explain the reason. Approved-for-construction drawings are what we build to, and any change after that is confirmed in writing.

Mill test certificates for the material, the weld procedures used and the welder qualifications, plus inspection and test reports for whatever testing was agreed. If you need dimensional reports, coating thickness readings or a dispatch note tied to specific heat numbers, ask at the order stage so it is recorded as the work proceeds rather than reconstructed afterwards. Paperwork assembled at the end is paperwork that holds somebody up. It is issued with the consignment.
